Since 2005
High Water Women (HWW) was founded by senior women from the hedge fund and investment communities to connect professionals with high-touch volunteer opportunities. The High Water Women Foundation is a 501(c)3 organization.
Who we are
Our name derives from the high water mark measure that incentivizes hedge funds to outperform their last best gains. By seeking to surpass prior achievements with each new endeavor, our organization and volunteers produce amazing results.
Our mission
HWW engages women and men throughout the financial services sector in volunteerism and philanthropic giving. Our more than 3,500 volunteers perform thousands of hours of service each year for our community partners.
Our programs
HWW’s programs include Financial Literacy Education for low-income women and youth, with more than 9,000 low income New Yorkers and 400 volunteers participating in the program since 2009. An annual Backpack Drive benefiting over 137,300 children since 2005. And our annual Investing for Impact Symposium attended by more than 270 investors, managers and impact practitioners since 2013. In addition, HWW volunteers help our nonprofit partners conduct career days and job-search workshops, and mentor at-risk women and youth.
